  1. Absolutely. Its long overdue. the color of skin should not be an issue. The mans integrity,  viewpoints and politics should.

  2. Not sure.

How about you all vote on it?

  3. Absolutely!

He can't possibly s***w it up worse than all these white guys have.

    Obama / Clinton  08

  4. about as ready as for a woman, but we should look to who is the best person not the color or gender...

  5. i'd say so

We've progressed so much already, y not a black president?!

  6. I don't see why not.  What does race have to do with it.  That is like saying,  is America ready for a female president.  Sure we are but not the one that is running this time around.  Anything has got to be better than what we have had over the past 8 years.

  7. america often has to brought into a new era via kicking and screaming.  It is how we ended slavery.  It is how women got the right to vote.  It is have civil rights were granted.

who gives a **** what america is ready for!

  8. What do you think????? Forget about what America is ready for, why don't we focus on real issues, like feeding/helping the homeless, child abuse, crime, educating our children. It does not matter who's in the white house. I don't know one President who has really ever made a difference and had a mass impact on the United States. Whoever makes it to the White House will have it's share of scandals, when are we going to learn our lesson. Why do we even spend the time being of awe of people, how sad..........

As a society, we are to busy focusing on the latest issues, not on what matters most. Movie stars and brand names....gotta have it....at all cost. That's why we have the debt we have.

How about building a good foundation for our country. Our priorities are so misplaced. No wonder other countries look at us as self absorbed.....that cause we are......how sad.

  9. Certainly.  But not the one running.

  10. I guess so, but who the person you are seeking...? Obama,

if you are talking about him, is only half black...what was it

George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) called it...Zebra, I think. ...I don't agree with George Jefferson or anyone else

trying out right to be a racist....Obama, if elected would be

a fine president, and yes, America is ready for a good president!

  11. Yes.

But, sadly, not Mr. Obama, a man who, at this time, personifies the terms "lightweight", "neophyte", and "not ready for primetime". Hey, other than that, he's a great guy!

  12. Yes, the next  president of USA must be black.

  13. Yeah, we are ready for any kind of president!

  14. No we are not. And we won't be as long as we have hyphenated Americans.

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all. ... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic. ...   President Theodore Roosevelt

"Any man who carries a hyphen about with him carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready."

    President Woodrow Wilson

  15. well we usally get a fat bald guy thats around like 60...so yeah"its time for a change *****"

  16. yes, but by itself it is not enough.

  17. President Condoleezza Rice

    President Alan Keyes

    President Colin Powell

    President Bill Cosby

  18. yup, but not this one. condi would make a great one

  19. Not sure the issue is really are we ready for a black president. I think it's, can we really recover from the disastrous shape we're in by electing someone with very little experience? I think Obama would be great in 4 more years, but now... not so sure. Fingers crossed, though!

  20. Race or gender has anything to do with it. We don't need Obama or Clinton in there right now.  Agree or disagree, I really don't care.
