Amun (transliterated from the Middle Egyptian, also sometimes spelled with Roman script as "Amon," and a host of other ways, most likely pronounced "Yamanu"), evolving from a god of air to the creator god.  Sooner or later, Amun was conflated with the personification of the sun Ra-Herakhty, in many cases, the chief deity in many areas, at least the most important.  He faded in importance when the Legend of Osiris and Isis came to the forefront.

  5. He the an Egyptian sun God, but I think it's spelled Amun.
