  1. how can a 14 year old practice 6 hrs a day?

is this 11 for nine holes or eighteen?

seems to me if you practice 6 hrs a day, you'd be more like 5-6.

    don't think i really believe this one-sorry.

  2. Yeah it's good.  A few goals could be to make sure that you're on the green in 2 to 3 on every hole (depending on how long it is.) And try to get under 30 putts on 18 holes

  3. All depends on the difficulty and length of the course. If it is a " Mickey Mouse" short flat course with  few hazards open greens and wide fairways, the handicap is fair. If the course is 6300 to 6500 yards well trapped with a few hazards 11 is good.

  4. yea! im 14 too and thats about what i get ! i guess its average!

  5. Yes, it is very respectable.

  6. Your middle name could be "Vijay"... From what you say, you have a great work ethic and could be really good someday.

Enjoy the ability to play that much everyday, I guarantee when you get a job you will long for the days when you could play that much.

  7. No - it's rubbish.  At that age most pro golfers were scratch or better.  Its OK if you never want to win tournaments and just want to enjoy the game.  If you want a college golf scholarship you will want to be 3 or better.

You may improve, but you won't by mindlessly beating balls all day, you need a good coach.

  8. Do you go to school?

  9. 11 is good for anyone.  Advance your practice routine, do drills on the range.  What I like to do, and is pretty common, is play holes in my mind on the range.  Imagine a long dogleg right par 5...ill tee up...try to hit a nice fade off the tee.  Then i will pick a target and either hit a 3 wood or long iron...then i will take a wedge and go for a flag.  I practice scenarios, find rough and hit out of hit.  hit mid to long irons out of the sand.  Once you take that skill onto the course your handicap will surely drop.  Work hard and its very possible for you to be a scratch golfer in high school, maybe a +handicap.  Good luck!

  10. 11 Handicap is not good for any age.....

if you want to be good, go for the best ...play scratch or even better turn Pro. Only then I'll say you are good.

Morale of the story is why settle for less when you know you can do better. GO FOR IT! Seek to Excel in all things you do.

  11. 11 is good.  If you keep playing and practicing like you are now your goal should be to be a 0 handicap in four years.

  12. yea that is actually pretty good. if u play like u say u are now. you will be able to really good when u get older. i am pretty good too. my best is like low 90s, and i am 13, but i like never play
