  1. honestly not really.

but if you are gonna go crazy with performance and tune your car from head to toe then it would be worth it, but save your money, take it to a guy who specializes in honda tuning, get an estimate and start there.

now if you just want an intake, anything will do, you can even build one of those modular ones for a third of the price and you can go crazy with it. just make sure it fits =)

  2. Yes and No.

Performance wise, the are all the same.  They are basically straight pipes.

BUT brand name intakes are better fit and may last longer.

I have cheapy short air intake and they work really well.  But I had to fabricate my own "brace'

    good Luck...

  3. if you have to have one, YES. if you don't and you just go and get any ole' typeXXX brand without the carb exempt number tag. you're gonna be paying a huge fine when you get pulled over and get checked by a patrol man.

if your state doesn't require carb exempt only parts then go ahead and buy what ever that's cheaper. they all do the same job. it's just that some companies don't pay for the proper testing to aquire that piece of **** little carb exemption sticker and the local feds are anal.

  4. I don't think a cold air intake alone will improve power and performance much. But it should be worth buying. you don't want to get anything to cheap, remember you get what you pay for.
