Is an I.Q of 108 o.k for an eleven year old?

just asking because my cousin got that and i thought it was quite low because when I was 11 i got 138

  1. IQ is based on a normal distribution (bell curve) with 100 being the mean result. 108 is thus "above" average. I've not sure what the standard deviation is to tell you if it is well above average. IQ is also a measure of Intelligence quotient as compared to others at the same age. So it is some times refered to as your mental age. I've heard discussion where it is refered to as "mental age = IQ x real age" so your 138 at age 11 would result in a mental age of 15.2. Ofcourse if you stopped learning and resorted to asking dumb questions and insulting 11 year olds then you mental development can stop at "15.2" even though you might be 16 now. So your new IQ would be 95 and falling by the day.

  4. The average IQ is 100 (that is how IQ tests have been designed)...but IQ tests are generally not regarded as a reliable or accurate form of measuring intelligence.
