  1. The "Bell Curve" ranges from a 70-130 IQ with 85-115 IQ being the vast majority.

    Based on the common S.D.16 Standford-Binet scale, an IQ score of 145 or 1 in 400 is considered technically "Genius". On that same scale, a 159 IQ score would place a person approximately 1 in 9,000 which is well beyond the basic genius level. However a 159 IQ on the S.D.24 Cattell scale will place someone a few points below genius.

    I scored a 159 on an online IQ test, but that is no guarantee my IQ is really anywhere near there. However, I think it actually is, based on my observations of works and writings of those who are suspected in the 160 IQ class of intellect.

    Also to note, there are many ranges to genius. Normally they can be classified as follows:

    145-164 Genius
    165-184 High Genius
    185-200 Highest Genius
    201 and over is considered "immeasurable" or "off the chart"
