Is an IUD 100% effective?

if i get it placed will i have to be worry month after month if im pregnant or not or if i dont get pregnant the 1st month i wont get pregnant at all while having the IUD?

  1. no, unfortunately none of the methods of birth control out there are 100 % effective.  its is very reliable though.

    why will you have to worry month after month? you still get your periods when you have the IUD so its the same as any other type of contraception.  

    it is a very reliable method when properly inserted by a doctor so you should be ok!

  2. No birth control that I've ever heard of is 100% and I don't think any would claim to be (because if they did and then someone got pregnant they could be sued).
