  1. No, stay away from Ibanez.  It's a cheap brand.


  2. i don't have an ibanez, but i've come across several people that do.

    it's not going to be your perfect bass, but it'll be good for a beginner.

    i like that it has both styles of pickups (1 p-style and 1 jazz). gives you more variaty on sound.

    you can always improve the bass by changing the pickups, changing the strings, and adjusting the neck.

    just a little basic TLC will help you out
