Question:

Is an Internet Zone or Internet Cafe still a good business to get into in the US?

It'd be more of a internet access shop than a "cafe" as I was thinking about just having a soda/snack machine and maybe free coffee. I'd allow customers to play games, watch videos, and of course homework/email...etc. Questions is, would it be a wasted investment with more wireless hotspots, libraries, and broadband being widely available these days? Or do people still commonly go to places like this to spend a day playing World of Warcraft or typing reports or simply to have a quiet enviornment...etc and in time, possibly just a place to hangout with other people.

  1. You need to offer more than just a hot spot by it's self. Most small cafes offer that for free. However a place like starbucks charges for it.

  2. Scapegoat is right, computers with an Internet connection is not enough.  There are hotspots that pretty much offer the same thing.

Now, if you had games that could be networked together, like Counterstrike or something like that, where people could have LAN parties and such.  THAT would be something

  3. well... first of all, if you're just offering soda/snack machines, i would rather stay home...

but, if you're selling small snacks... such as cake and etc,and drinks other than soda, like tea... smoothies things like that... it would be interesting... i would go there even without using the internet. a place like that would be awesome to hang out with friends too
