  1. Depends upon what kind of allrounder he is. If he is a predominantly batting all-rounder, he may excel in batting pitches. If his forte is bowling, he may do better in pitches which assists bowling. A Bowler who could bat, will come handy in all situations.

  2. A good all rounder should be useful in either capacity whatever sort of pitch they are playing on, otherwise, why select him.?

  3. i think on both pitches

  5. well obviously an allrounder who is better at bowling will be more usefull on bowling pitches and vica versa. However I dont think that is exactly what you want to know. Lets suppose that you have an allrounder who bats just as well as he bowls. He is an average bowler and an average batsman.

I would say he is then more useful on a batting pitch. It is often those type of allrounders that come in the last few overs and smash a quick 50 that gives his team the edge. You can argue in return that a bowler that comes in at 1st or 2nd change can take a few wickets that can also turn a game. But remember cricket is played with 11 batsman and 5 or 6 bowlers. I would say more usefull on batting pitches.
