Im slowly making a home studio and was wondering if I need a audio interface. I already have a Perception 120 condenser mic and phantom power.

My setup is like this -| mic ---> phantom power ---> computer

will it make my vocals sound better?

and do i need it?

  1. Yes, the condenser mic will make everything sound better.

I have the same setup with a Marshall MXL SP-1 into a Behringer mixer, into the audio card on my PC.

The phantom power audio output will connect directly to the audio card microphone input.

Make sure you get a 20-bit audio card (not the standard 16-bit card) to get the most out of the microphone.
