Is an electric/acoustic guitar right for beginer?

  1. i play guitar and i think thats perfect to start. When you learn a song you can here what is souns like in two ways. Also you could play cool acoustic songs like Hotel California and then play cool elictric songs !!!!


  2. If you have a specific price range, keep in mind that electronics usually cost a little bit more extra.  I've found that often you can get a better acoustic guitar without the electronics when it comes to staying within a particular budget.

  3. if you have the cash for a decent one then yes. otherwise a pickup can be added to any acoustic when you are ready to play out.

    i personally like ovation acoustic electrics becasue they are easy to play, are more durable than most other guitars and sound pretty good acoustically as well.

    if you want to play rock (distorted stuff, heavy metal leads) you may want to go solidbody electric.
