after working several months and does the job as expected with a pay raise and additional responsibilities?

  1. Most employers, when they find out the employee is a liar, will get rid of that person regardless of performance because they cannot be trusted.


  2. Yes.

    They are forced into firing a good employee that they worked hard to train to prove a statement and try to stop others from lying on job applications.

  3. An employer has a right to expect his employees to be honest. While it may be true that a person without all the education could do the job, the fact that a potential employee lies, will always be in the bosses mind. (If you don't get fired first for falsifying a document)
