Is an epilator worth my money?

I've recently wanted to buy an epilator because waxing is too expensive and shaving makes my hair thicker! I've heard you get red spots and ingrown hairs... IS THAT TRUE?!? Also people say that it breaks off hairs.. Any recs?

Don't waste your money on an epilator it's a piece of c**p rather buy a good home waxing kit and do the waxing yourself

Well you get red spots if you don't moisturize. I have one and I really like it because waxing really adds up. I use it for my arms because i have dark hairs there and I'm not gonna shave my arms. It does break off hairs, but only if you are too afraid of the pain and you don't put it all the way on your skin.
