  1. HDMI is superior to all other connections.  Time Warner must've said that cause you don't need it for watching cable tv, unless you have or order HD digital cable, or ON DEMAND HD Movies.  Then you will need it.  You definitely want it for Upconvert DVD player, Blu-ray, ps3, xbox 360, etc.

  2. It really does make a differance because some tvs like min, reduce the picture size to get the full hd, but if u want full picture size you can get the hdmi. And hdmi also has superior sound compared to rca.

  3. just get component cables cuz they look almost as good and cost much less. it will display in up tp 1080i with component.

  4. The only reason HDMI is superior is that it can carry digital sound also.

  5. HDMI is indeed better...why else would they release HDMI cables, Blu-ray disc and HDTVs?

Don't overspend on an HDMI cable either, you can get a good one for less then $10.

  6. HDMI is far superior to "rca plugs"...
