  1. That's an hour on a good day, right?  Without snow, rain, fog, accidents that clog the roads,,,,,,,,,,so it could easily take longer.  But the same is likely for the 30 minute drive, as it's never always a good day.  I personally dislike longer commutes, but the that's just me.  Plus the cost of gas may factor into your decision as well.

  2. see if you can go to both....then make a decision once you get a feel of what the drive really is...

you might be able to take summer classes at one school while registered at the other.

  3. I commute one hour to school, then an hour and a half home (school starts so early I beat morning rush, but get caught in afternoon rush). Gas is a real killer, and the amount of miles I put on my poor car is tremendous (40,000+ per year). Personally I find the commute is the most relaxing part of my day (traffic does not bother me).

An hour commute is certainly possible, lots of people like it. Just make sure you enjoy it first, bad traffic, bad weather, and awful early wake-up times can be very exhausting...

  4. I wouldn't mind driving that far, yet I know people that would hate it. Basically it's up to you and whether you like or dislike driving, and if you can afford the extra fuel.
