Is an inherited house soul or community property in a divorce case in california?

i received an inheritence and used it to purchase our first home and other things 12 years ago,now my wife has received an inheritence that included a piece of real estate and she wants to divorce me and take half of the home we bought with my inheritence yet not give half of her inherited home.

  1. Was the home you bought listed as "sole and separate property"or deeded in your name only, and bought solely with the inheritance?  If so, she doesn't have a leg to stand on.  If not, if there was any co-mingling of funds or any acknowledgment of co-ownership on your part, she can do it.
