Is an isofix carseat safer than normal carseat? the car im purchasing has isofix. my child is 12 mths old?

Is isofix safer? (obviously then worth paying more for safety)... or is the normal seats just as safe? i was interested in the Maxi Cosi PrioriFix

  1. Isofix/LATCH is not inherently safer.  It's supposed to be easier for parents to install a carseat with it than the seatbelt.

  3. Yes, it is safer, rather the the child seat being held by a seat belt, ISOFIX anchors the car seat to the cars chassis, so it wont budge in the event of an accident. much safer.
