Is an xbox 360 worth getting?

I really love the grpahics and most of the games for it liek grand theft auto IV and assasins creed, but tis pretty expensive, is it worth it and why?

GTA IV and Assassin's Creed are on the PS3, too. I'll copy and paste what I said to someone else:

"PS3. It has multiple uses, and free online. You can store you Music+Photos+Videos and a lot more, not to mention the ability to play DVDs, Blu-Ray movies, and CDs, and compatibility with a lot of USB devices. Such, Keyboards, Mice, Printers (yes, that's right, printers!), tablets (like Plug n' Play). There is also an internet browser that comes with it. MGS4 utilizes it and with Unreal Tournament III, you can have mods. Not to mention a lot of kickass games are out for it and are expect this year and for years to come. <-- And I barely scratched the surface, lol.

No its not worth it, if you love video games then get a wii its cheap and fun

if you like PS3 get it. its worth every penny you pay

To aid customers with defective consoles, Microsoft has extended the Xbox 360's manufacturer's warranty to three years for hardware failure problems that generate a "General Hardware Failure" error report. A "General Hardware Failure" is recognized by three quadrants of the ring around the power button flashing red. This error is often known as the "Red Ring of Death".The warranty extension is not granted for any other types of failures that do not generate this specific error code.

Since these problems surfaced, Microsoft has attempted to modify the console to improve its reliability. Modifications include a reduction in the number, size, and placement of components, the addition of dabs of epoxy on the corners and edges of the CPU and GPU as glue to prevent movement relative to the board during heat expansion,and a second GPU heatsink to dissipate more heat.It is unclear whether these modifications have only been added to new consoles or if they have also been added to consoles repaired by Microsoft and authorized repair centers.As of 2008, these modifications have yet to fully cure the Xbox 360's reliability issues.

ok 1 no its not. buy a ps3. get the 20gb version and upgrade it. do you really want to pay £40 a year for xbox live when its free on ps3? and £8 to change your name, when thats free on ps3? the games have higher quality graphics, and its quicker with 8 processers instead of two, and theres no red ring of death. also the controllers have batteries built in, and the ps3 has wireless. it also plays blurays. buy a ps3. trust.

Well in my opinion (and i am always right) the 360 is the best gaming console on the market 2day, playstation 3 just doesn't come close. So ther4 it is well worth getting a 360. you wont regret it!
