Is anal s*x a safe alternative?

TMI question, but im embarrased to ask my midwife, so ill ask a bunch of strangers instead!

Im 11 weeks pregnant, and have been spotting on and off since week 4 because there is a small amount of bleeding behind the placenta.

So 7 weeks spotting = no s*x life, which is becoming frustrating for both of us. So, we got carried away and.....oops how did that get in there :)

I avoided o****m to protect the uterus from contracting because i do not want to disturb the placenta, but

I am still unsure if it is still risky to the pregnancy.

  1. I wouldn't think so. Two totally different areas of the body. But you really should ask your midwfie. She deals with these questions all the time so don't be embarrassed. Have they said no s*x or are you just not doing it on your own? If they haven't, maybe it is safe or maybe you can have s*x, just no o****m. All things you should ask your midwife hun. I promise she won't think any less of you. She has heard it all :) Good Luck!!!

  2. This is really something that you SHOULD ask your midwife. Anal s*x is considered safe during pregnancy (of course, you have to be clean, but you probably know that!) but if you are worried about harm done during o****m, maybe you should stay away until you get a chance to ask.
