  1. no way. maybe 25 mill?

  2. inconsistent? he is an instant double double every night and he is ONLY 22 years old which means he will get better. good centers are the hardest things to find in the nba. im not saying andris is an elite center but he is much better than the average center. 63 may be a tad much but you do what you have to to keep your key components. the warriors with andris are much better than the warriors without andris. it was a good signing, in time we will see if this was a good deal or not. but i like it. it shows the warriors are committed to their players.

  3. h**l No...

    Extremely inconsistent

  4. Andris is a great young center, only 22, and is improving each year. he gets boards, scores in double figures, and blocks. plus, he can run, and the warriors need a running big man. he was getting offers from russia, so the warriors are gonna keep him no matter what it takes

  5. I think it was important that they resigned him.  I pretty much agree with the 2 answers above me.  I'm happy.

  6. Is Biedrins' market value $63 million over 6 years?  As a player right now, he's not worth that much money.  But he's 21 years old so the Warriors (and Biedrins' agent) have to project what kind of player he'll be in 2-3 seasons when he's in the middle of his contract.

He's progressing well in the NBA.  But he has to improve his offensive moves and free throw shooting.  Right now, all his points are dunks and offensive putbacks.  He'll need more moves to justify his big contract.

The big worry is if he doesn't progress.  Remember the Warriors gave a big contract to Troy Murphy and Dunleavy Jr and they didn't justify their contracts in Golden State.  Their progress flatlined after they got their big contracts.

  7. of course not he isnt consistent. and he should go to europe. and the warriors should get someone more valuable

  8. This is just a continuation on the well-spread big man myth in NBA.

NBA franchises are always too desperate to retain a serviceable big men and overpay them.

Don't you think Dampier deserves a 7-year, 73 million contract? A definite "No"

Don't you think Delambert deserve a memberhsip in 10 million club? A question mark.

K-Mart will earn 14 million this season? Oh my God.

Okafor declined a 12 million offer a year ago? A decision of self-destruction by far.

Andris Biedrins' big offer? What a lucky boy he is, and he should say thank you to Chris "Premium" Mullins, who has a solid track record of burning money to retain players.

Biedrins is more a specialized defensive big man, and though I see him as better than a normal 10-10 big man and probably a 15-12 in future, I have concerns for offering him a 15-12 player's money for now.

Let's compare him with Varejao, Delambert and Okafor. He runs as fast as Varejao and Delambert and faster than Okafor, but he shoots as same as Okafor outside 10 feet and worse than Varejao and Delambert, and he blocks as same as Varejao but worse than Okafor and Delambert. Therefore, he doesn't possess any strong edge when compared to peers.

If we throw Biedrins into a comparison with Camby, he virtually loses in every single technical department. Thus, he just finds the desperate big spender to pay him on time only, but not his superior capability.

Again, Clippers made the best quick fix not named Elton Brand over the last decade.

  9. h**l NO

  10. It was important for the Warriors to re-sign Biedrins. Maybe a little too much but he is only 22 and already is putting up very productive points and rebounds. He is definitely going to be better and worth it in the long run.

  11. it was a fair deal

  12. whats with all the tc....

and to answer your question...no...hes a slim jim...

  13. Well realistically nobody is worth 63 million lol.

But considering that there aren't many good centers out there let alone ones that are getting better, they pretty much had to pay it.

But to answer the question, no he isn't.

  14. any price when Davis left but if you noticed the Warriors have lost a star two off seasons in a row

  15. Heck yeah man

He's really young and will become a great player for the Warriors

  16. Helll no! 40-50 mill max. Look how much Monta got and tell me if they are worth the same.

Biedrins cant hang with Yao, Kaman, and other big players in the west. They should of used that money on Josh Smith. Horrible move.
