Is androgyny the wave of the future?

Let's hope so! Gender inequality is too prevalent today, especially in the workplace. Men & women need to accept that we no longer have nuclear families, and begin taking androgynous roles to help each other out!

Androgyny is a fad for children who think is it "cool" because it makes them special and unique (just like all the other kids) *rolls eyes*

The trend of androgyny comes and goes every generation.  In the 80s it was 'Boy George', in the 90s it was the 'new wavers', currently it is embodied in the 'emos'.  I am sure there were plenty of other generations in the past that used androgyny to try and stand out.  

It is nothing new and nothing one should aspire to.
