  1. Absolutely not hun, you don't to have your car serviced ever, if you don't want to. It's a matter of personal preference, a chance for a mechanic to check everything is OK & maybe change the oil & filters etc. But don't feel forced into having a full service. It's your choice!

There's an old saying I go by & it goes: If it aint broke, don't fix it!

  2. no

  3. an mot is mandatory but a service isnt.  however if your selling the car the new owner will want to see good upkeep of the car.

  4. I do not think it is yet mandatory, but a good idea a few weeks before the MOT which IS COMPULSORY so that problems can be ironed out before the MOT and will spread out the cost and inconvenience of repairs, retesting, tax, insurance etc which would otherwise tend to come at the same time.

  5. No. If your car is under warranty and you don't get it serviced then your warranty might become invalid, but that's nothing to do with the law.

MOTs are mandatory on cars more than 3 years old.

  6. No, it's not.

  7. Servicing is NOT mandatory just a good idea.

MOT for vehicles 3 years old and over is.

  8. No! I rarely have mine serviced (about once every three yaers) as I don't do much milage!

  9. You are not required by UK Law to have an annual service on you car. You are required by UK Law to carry a current MOT certificate though.

I would advise you from a selling point to keep your car serviced as any prospective buyer will want a full service history and this adds to the resale value.

  10. Nope. Just MOT. Not servicing.

  11. no, its upto the owner if they want to keep up annual servicing, MOT's are mandatory obviously (when the car is over 3 years old)
