Is any one surprised by the performance, well the under performance of the Pakistani players in IPL?

Question

A few people had raised their eye brows when the Pakistani players were auctioned at very low prices compared to other big names. Now we see why. Except for Sohail Tanvir's solitary performance, none of the others has made any contribution whatsoever. Performance wise, they're all sitting at the bottom and dropped out of their teams. Look at these:

1.Misbah: Avg 5.5 in 2 innings ( got only 2 games & dropped by Bangalore)

2. Hafeez: Avg 12.25 in 5 innings (dropped by Kolkata)

3. S.Butt: Avg 5.5 in 2 innings (got just 2 games and still getting out behind the wickets)

4. Afridi: Avg 9.4 in 6 innings (Deccan finally decided enough is enough and showed him the exit door)

5. Malik: Avg 12.75 in 4 innings (Pak captain can't find a place in Delhi's XI)

6. K.Akmal Avg 13.50 in 2 innings (Shane Warne is surely smarter than the PCB selectors and replaced Akmal with Rawat after just 2 games)

7. Asif 7 wkts @ 8.87 and out of Delhi's team

8. Tanvir 8 wkts @ 15.87

9.Umar Gul 6 wkts @ 21.83

pakistani players feel ashamed being captained by indians ,as asif himself said he is not enjoying and just dong this for money

they are not professionals and have shown their true character as non professionals

Same is the case of many leading players in IPL such as Kallis, Mark Boucher, Gibbs, Jayasuriya etc. and Pakistan players are not in isolation.  On the other hand, many under rated players are performing exceptionally well like Shane Watson, Marsh etc.

It is not only the Pak players, you can include SA, SL and

Indians as well. Some have done very well and others have

failed. If money was the top concern, then I do not believe the

ones who are auctioned at a low price, still able to deliver.

In 20/20 not everyone can excel every time they get into play.

Some days they are good and other days one is bad. That is

the nature of the game. Even Gilchrist struggles some days

and others he shines. Opportunity to international players is

limited and hence they need to make sure to use it.
