  1. yes. All they showed was Misty May-Walsh, and Phelps. I like both of them, but after some time, it got really really annoying. The only thing I like watching is gymnastics.

  2. i am. im tired of hearing about michael phelps and im tired of seeing the medal ceremony for american athletes only. what about the other countries

  3. YES! The commentators are so rude. On the gymnastics coverage, when a U.S. is performing an event they whisper and maybe say one or two things. But when a different country performs. They talk normally and loud and pointing out all the mistakes they do. Also compared to the Canadian channel commentators they actually respect every country. Like in diving the commentator was saying how the Chinese divers did excellent and stuff. But then on the NBC coverage the commentators were like the judges were scoring too high. I was like wtf.

  4. Yes. Very.

  5. Is there anybody NOT annoyed at NBC's coverage?

    I watch CBC now.

  6. I gotta disagree, I think the commentors are very fair and many times have said competitors in the gymnastics should have gotten higher scores, and they repeated it over and over that there is no home court advantge for the chinese, also with there being as many sports as there are it is almost impossible to show them all, and NBC just went almost an hour without a commercial break, I have it DVR'd so I dont get the complaining about the commercials.

Also, Micheal Phelps won 8 gold medals and made history with his performance, I think he deserves the coverage. The same goes for May/Walsh, since they also made history.

Also, NBC is going to give preference to sports with prominant US athletes because that is who is watching the channel.  However, I will agree with some of the commentators, because Chris Collingsworth is painfully annoying, and the Bella guy is fun to watch because he gets so pumped, but i have to turn the captions on to understand what he is saying.

  7. Yes I am probably the most upset

    here's how I feel

  8. Yes, I like USA networks coverage the best. NBC ONLY shows things that have hype, which is annoying!

They take WAY too many commercial breaks, the commenter's talk TOO much, and they BARELY show things live now.

EDIT: Well actually Bob I have to disagree with you about the diving coverage, to me the US commenter's praise the Chinese divers. But there were some great Russian divers that did better

  9. this was my first year of seriously watching it and i dont feel like they have enough track and field on there... and i dont have cable either

i wish i could take it off from school and just watch tv!

  10. My biggest complaint is the time difference.  Not between Beijing and the US, but between the east and west coast.  NBC paid a fortune for the olympic committee to change around the schedules so it would be "primetime" for the US.  Well, primetime on the east coast.  We have to wait 3 hours on the west coast to watch.  Not a big deal for most, but if I wanted to watch one of Phelp's races, I saw the results on the internet before I could watch it on tv.  They don't put EVERYTHING online, only the sports that are not quite as popular.  You still have to wait 3 hours AFTER the results are out to watch the video.  I also have to agree with the lack of coverage.  They've focused on a few sports, and discarded the rest.  At the begining of the Olympics I was so excited for them to begin, then it seems like the coverage has taken a nose dive after swimming and gymnastics.  It's a shame, everyone of those athletes deserve to be shown on tv for their dedication to their sport.

  11. yes !!! my ear bleed curse u nbc!!! u made me deaf!!!!!!!!

  12. This is the 3rd consecutive olympics they have made a complete blunder on there coverage. I have cable and a dvr and I still couldn't find any track and field on. The Jamaican teams (men and women) have been taking the 100m and 200m by storm and I have seen nothing but still photos of the finish. One guy sets the world record in the 100m and 200m and nobody see it? The women and men sweep the 100m and 200m. I guess if USA was doing better they would have showed it better. I was getting an oil change yesterday morning and they had to switch to USA channel to watch the mens basketball team. I should be able to see them on NBC instead of the d**n Today show with Al Roker.

  13. Disgrace is the word that comes to mind, regarding pretty much every aspect.

  14. YESSS! So annoying, and SO biased. When the U.S. doesn't get a good mark they'll be like: that's unfair, she\he should have deserved higher. And then when a person from another country gets a good score, they'll be like: "too high, not fair" whine whine whine. CBC is better, the commentators are less biased.

  15. They are so freakin Biased and unfit to do the commentary!

and they don't tell you the exact time an event is going to start, so you basciallly have to sit through several hours of it so you don't miss any of the event you want to watch!

and I HATE that woman that keeps going places and sounds like a man!

  16. h***s yeah.  You could always go to NBC.com and watch anything you want without them talking

  17. I'm annoyed they aren't showing the gold medal softball game between the US and Japan.

I've stayed up every night watching the pool games and now they are just going to not show the gold medal game?  Where's their brain?

(and yes, I would have gotten up at 6:30 to watch it!)

  18. Bob shut the **** up we know you have  a mancrush on Bela whats his face.

USA's coverage is better, but I'm not going to stay up watching either of them because the Olympics is all hype and no substance.
