I mean, there are no jobs, everything is going up in price, the jobs that our parents held aren't there anymore, jobs that paid well & offered benefits are cutting benefits out and paying a lot less. It seems that just from 1 year ago there are a lot less job opportunities than there are this year. Is anyone else afraid?

  7. Not at all.

  8. i'm only afraid to the point of being afraid to have another Republican president who intends to continue Bush's failed economic policy...  err  uhhum(cough) McCain (cough cough)

  9. No, not afraid  Yes, we should all be concerned and do the best we can. Our country has been in this mess more than once and America will stand. We must all change our lifestyles and learn that we don't have to have everything we see and go into debt to get it. We can all cut back on almost everything we use, including the food we eat. There are many nutritious foods (beans of all kinds) that are cheap and provide good nutrition and the protein we need. And what about people who have space for gardens? That is a reasonable way to have fresh vegetables and fruit. We are a country that has become lazy, as it was easier to buy everything. We need to really look back at how our ancestors lived.

Think about the paper products, Have you ever realized that we don't have to have boxed tissues, napkins and paper towels?  In earlier times, handkerchiefs, rags or cloths were used and washed. I don't know that anyone died from those germs. Please give this some thought.

  10. Anyone who isn't is either delusional, not seeing the whole picture, or in total denial.

  11. yes, I am afraid for the generation coming up. It will take a lot more than this election to fix it, both sides are going to have to come together and quit bickering over non-issues.

  12. do you try to be stupid or does it come naturally?

  13. 94.5% employment, everyone I know is employed and several have new multiple job offers.

GNP growing for 7 straight years

    interest rates low.

Why are you not doing super well ?

As long as Obama is not elected the USA is doing fine,  even if we do enter a mild recession (as we do every 6-10 years).
