Is anybody else totally sick of Ebay

Question

Why are they making it so difficult to sell now not only do you have to go through all sorts of verification and jump through hoops plus advertise you accept paypal even if you don't just to sell. Now they insist that you verify your paypal account (which is supposed to be a separate entity) before you can sell now. Ebay used to be great now it's just a big Fee making machine IMO with no thought about it's members just it's precious fee's.

Also how many of you knew Paypal is owned by Ebay?

I sold a whole load of stuff just before I had my baby, I used to sell a lot but hadn't for ages and I didn't like the changes - especially the not being able to leave negative feedback as a seller - that's a real pain in the @rse - how does anyone get an accurate picture of buyer reliability now?

and you're right there seemed to be much higher fees too - even tho I do and always have used paypal.

I would agree with you my friend and so much so, I no longer sell on there as it's a lot of hassle especially for long time sellers such as myself.

I just tried it for the first time to sell some stuff and did not find their fee structure transparent at all - it isn't actually put on the transaction - it just disappears when it is transferred to your paypal and masked by the postal charges that they 'add' at that point.  

It has put me off the thing I will admit.  That is a bit sneaky.

Somebody got into my Ebay account the other day and advertised a Links Of London bracelet.

Thank god they were hot off the mark and stopped it straight away.

Have you seen how much they sell for?

I think my account would have been killed off if the transaction had gone ahead.

As if i'd have a bracelet like that to sell.LOL

I agree with you totally.and,most things,like clothes,are c**p..bought from a carboot,to sell on ebay..paypal?I did not know it was owned by ebay.mary.c.

Yes I did know that PayPal and eBay are the same company.

At the end if the day, you don't have to go on eBay!  it's your choice.

I am! Fees to list then fees when you sell then fee when you use paypal!  Half the time ts not even worth it!
