can u tell me the five most popular sports in the great qld. and write the rankings from 1-5 in order of preference.

I live in Surfers and I think the most popular sport would be Rugby league. Our new stadium at Robina had it's first game with the Titans playing the Cowboys last Saturday and 27000 people went along. The second choice I would say is Golfing. We have over 30 Golf Courses on the Gold Coast The 3rd choice would have to be surfing , we have a lot of surf carnivals and people flock here from all over the World to surf at our wonderful beaches. 4th choice would be tossed up with me between Australian rules football and swimming . We have produced some super Olympic swimmers. Other popular sports here are cricket, bowls , boating. fishing and car racing .ie we have the Indy each year.

I am from Kingaroy- about 2.5 hrs west of Brisbane. It's quite a large Rural town.

I would have to agree that Rugby League is the most popular. But I would say that the following rank:

2. AFL

3. Cricket

4. Soccer

5. Surfing

If you are talking participation ranks then the above is right, but if you also want to include spectator sports I would say that V8 Supercar Championships would replace surfing. It is very popular, especially the QLD raced INDY.

in my opinion its:

Rugby (NRL)

Footy (AFL)

Soccer

Fishing is a big thing to in QLD (but some may dispute it as a sport)

And i would say leasure swimming, like at the beach
