Is anybody out there a auditor that audits companies for workers comp? How is that type of job?

  1. I saw one of those jobs posted. It depends on what they mean by "audit". It could be a like a mobile accounting/auditing type job, working with payroll records and insurance premium records on site.

    And/Or it could be simply inspecting sites and working conditions.

    That would mean A LOT of driving to inspect workers and worksites, employees doing their jobs, and what the employer is paying for each worker given the risk of their jobs (I've seen contractors doing terrifying things).  

    This could be a tough job, with lots of detail work, passive and in your face resistance from employers, lots of driving without full reimbursement, and lots of forms filled out on your own time.  

    However, I also think that driving around in the field and meeting with mostly nice people is cool. I'd say, interview and find others to talk with about it.
