I'm 100% Galician and Basque (50-50 each), and I want to know if anyone else is. I never find anyone that can say they are Spanish... from Spain. If you are can you tell me your culture, what region of Spain, and weirdly enough what you look like because I have found all Spanish people are different. A bunch of Russians working at my job told me I looked Russian! I feel like we have a mix of many common physical features of neighboring countries.

  1. I'm the russian!!!!!!!!! you are not one of meeeeeeee

    get back spaniard!

  2. If you never find anyone that can say they are Spanish then you met very few people from Spain. Most of us, except a few nationalists that make a lot of noise, feel ourselves as spanish, we have different regions like in all countries of Europe but we feel part of all of them.

Respect to the physic, i am 185 tall, green eyed, and light brown hair, i´m from Madrid, but my father is from Extremadura and my mother from Castilla y Leon. In Spain you can find lot of people with very light complexion but people usually think that we are all like Penelope Cruz.

Lighter people can be found specially in the west of the country (Galicia, Asturias, Castilla y Leon, Extremadura, Madrid, Cantabria, Basque Country, Rioja, Navarra, even Aragon and also in Andalusia because of the repoblations when the Moorish expulsion, the case of Portugal, that is also in the west of the iberian peninsula is different) and turns a little darker in the mediterranean regions (Andalusia also, Catalonia, Com. Valenciana, Murcia, and Baleares), Canarias is different. But you can find all types of people everywhere because there have been a lot of migrations. so we are not so different

  3. i was born in America of full Cuban decent, if traced four generations back my family is from Spain. i def. look like Spaniard more than i look like a Cuban (but then again i am from a good "pure-bred" family lol)

  4. I'm a proud Colombian! from colombia of course but i've been to barcelona, menorca and madrid and also now Australia

  5. Well the majority of the people from my country, Puerto Rico, has in a way or another Spanish blood. In my case we make a research and my surnames came from Las Canarias and Galicia. I'm not the typical Puerto Rican because I'm white and many people confuse me with an American. What's an American? I really don't know.

  6. Im from Sevilla, im almost 2 meter tall and brown hair and eyes. My mother is blonde with grey/blue eyes and my father black hair.

I live in Andalucia (south), but i dont identify myself with this region, because my father's family emigrated here 100 years from Valencia (in the east of the peninsula), and my mother's family emigrated 30 years ago from Extremadura, west of Spain in the limit with Portugal. Extremadura for me is wonderful, very poor as well but i like it a lot much than Andalucia, thus i go there for holydays when i can.
