  1. If you love it so much - DON'T go there, because you'll be disappointed.

I like their food, but don't like the Italians too much. Neither their nature. They are to noisy and ignorant, and their country was destroyed by crowds of tourist. Sadly.

P.S: Isn't it funny - when you say the truth you get thumbs down, and when you lie, you get them up. Sorry guys from Italy if I insulted you, but face it - what I said is true.

  2. yes, i just love it! i cant wait to go back, it's another one of Gods wonderful masterpieces

  3. No,but i used to be a big fan of farm equipment,i lost interest so now I'm an ex-tractor fan.

  4. nope - ive seen it first hand for the dump it is - lived there for 6 months.  not going back

  5. Italy is perfect. The best food, music, architecture, history, soccer team. What more could you want? Oh yeah, their women are smokin'!

    Yes, I love Italy...

  6. The grass is always greener on the other side....

I am often in Italy and yes.... I to am a "fan" - if that's the word you want to use.

I don't follow soccer, Formula 1 racing, volley ball - some of the most popular sports. Basket ball is good in Italy but no where like in the US. They even play baseball but you never get to see it on TV. Ah, and regarding TV, can you believe it that all residents have to pay a TV tax every year (104 euro) or you get your TV confiscated by the Tax Cops. And for all the carp they show on TV they should be paying you to watch it!

Politics - it's like a soap opera. Who's doing who.... back biting, insults and even fist fights in the Senate. The ex prime Minister owns controls much of the media and is foul mouthed boob. The present one can't keep his government in line and it seems to be coming apart at the seams.

And still, I'm a "fan" of Italy - I love to travel in Italy. For all the complaining the I-ties do the country's mass transit system is pretty reliable and comfortable. I love going to the major cities and to the small county villages. I love to hear the various dialects and enjoy to hear how the language changes from area to area (sometime from neighborhood to neighborhood!). I love to see the children and the old folks. I enjoy learning about the history and dig checking out the monuments. I absolutly love cooking when in Italy - it is like no other place that I've been to. The wines are the best.

Ok - you can count me in as another fan of Italy!

  7. And I fully support everything Genius Cook wrote...

You have to live it with all the imperfections and virtues...

    I'm a fan too!!!

  8. I don't live in Italy, in fact, I've never been there, but I like the food, ice creams, their style and...Andrea Bocelli.

Italy is nice, I wish I could speak Italian
