  1. Well, the job description of an early childhood coordinator/teacher leader is pretty general. I have been a site director in the past as well as lead teacher.  Presently I'm everything since I have my own business in my home.

When I was site director I was with the staff I was responsible every day so we discussed what we needed to discuss prior to the children arriving.  The coordinator above me met at my site once a year or when neccessary.  We had monthly staff meetings.   With my staff we discussed everything from problematic behaviors to purchase orders to necessary staff training.  The coordinator met with me to do a site/staff evaluation. If I needed to discuss something with her I made an appointment to do so.  As a site director I did a twice year evaluation for new staff and a 1  year evaluation for staff who has been there for awhile.    Hope that helps.  Not sure what information you need exactly.

As for planning the year I start ahead of time with basic themes and necessary materials.  Ideally, with older preschoolers you want their input on the themes and activities.  However, this fall I'll have young 3s who will not have a whole lot of language so I'm setting the themes in advance and getting the "dailies" prepared so I do not have to do as much "lesson planning and prep" during the week as I normally do.  I have the assessments ready to go, the newsletter formats ready to be filled in and printed, etc.  Sorry, I'm rambling a bit.  I'm not sure what exact information you are looking for. Hope this helps.
