  1. Build a moat!  Works every time.

  2. In my experience, cat repellents really don't work. The best, and safest, way to get rid of them is to have a sprinkler system installed.

Or you can turn the hose on them when you see them in your yard.

  3. I would go to a pet store to see if there is a safe cat repellent.

  4. check out this site...

it has a safe, motion activated srinkler.

  5. Yes I'm having the same problem with a wild cat that has taken up residence at our house. Here's a few websites that might help you.

  6. Cats don't like camphor.

  7. BB rifle at 25 feet or more.  Definitely non-fatal at that distance, but the sting will get that cat's attention.

  8. Havahart makes a product called "Critter Ridder". It's based on chili pepper that's offensive to cats and dogs yet won't hurt them. Lasts a couple of months.

You can also put rock over the soft dirt spots where the cats like to dig and bury their "business".
