Question:

Is anyone disgusted by the audacity of the NBC reporters that kick the Americans while they're down?

I'm really fed up with the interviewing techniques of NBC. They interview the relayers after they botch the handoff "So what happened out there?" They interview Jeremy Warriner after he lost "Do you think the coaching change had an effect?" They interview Spearmon right after being disqualified, "So what are you emotions right now? When did you find out you were disqualified?"

Come on NBC show some class. You're representing the American media on the world stage and doing a horrible job of it.

Your thoughts.

  1. That's not very strange, here in Spain most reporters are as stupid as Americans. One Spanish reporter was going to interview Usain Bolt after the 200m final and the first he asked was if Bolt remembered the movie "E.T."

  2. The athletes who lose and give an interview do so voluntarily when they walk over to the media. They are not forced to speak. The announcers have acknowledged that it is hard to give an interview after you lose and greatly appreciate it.

  3. NBC  they are close to extinction and clueless.

  4. bismok that reporter is a genius!  I was thinking the same thing LOOOOL

well not the movie, but the fact that the guy was almost flying off the track.  so that's where i was getting the impression from

  5. They have been doing pretty bad job of interviewing people who've lost.

Someone interviewed Alicia Sacramone after the team finals and the questions were horrible. The two American divers were interviewed yesterday, they were in tears, but the questions were brutal anyway.

If someone just lost in The Olympic Games, it's not in good taste to ask them how or why they just lost.

  6. NBC loves Drama they don't care about the US team only there DAME rating mean anything to them!

  7. Yes, if anyone was watching gymnastics that night that Alicia Sacramone messed up. You probably remember when the interviewer kept putting her down and actually made her cry.

Or when a track runner lost a race, and the reporter said "What is your emotion right now?" it's like wtf? And that was a female he said that to, so it must have been ANOTHER time he said it.

  8. i know they suck

    oh well

  9. I agree. It is messed up. And what about their coverage of the Olympics? The only things they show are swimming, gymnastics, and track & field (mostly!)

What happened to archery, or sailing? NBC isn't doing a good job at all.
