Question:

Is anyone else's Bank of America branch closed today?

I live in Houston, and I just stopped by my local branch of Bank of America. It was closed and there was a sign on the door saying something to the effect of "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are temporarily closed, etc."

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the tropical storm that made landfall this morning, but I drove around and noticed many businesses open.

Also, with all the jitters about bank closures lately, I'm just wondering if Bof A might be in trouble.

Anyone else having trouble getting to their B of A?

  1. That sign is used anytime a branch must close for a variety of reasons.  The storm is a good reason since the bank does not want to risk the life of patrons or employees.  Other reasons would be things like a power outage or a robbery.  If the bank was having trouble you would have know about it long before this.  Take it easy.  It should be open tomorrow.

  2. i hope temporarily, is really temporarily.

  3. BofA is fine, its still open in California.

  9. ours is open. I hope they're not having trouble, it's the only bank i can trust right now. All of the other banks I've tried stink :(  Hope all is ok there in texas.

  10. It has to be the storm there are no announcements of anything going wrong so i would say they were just protecting there people and there property ,
