My 19 month old whimpers and cries when he sees the sun-baby on Teletubbies!

He's also terrified of the shapes and the Cuckoo Clock Bird on Mr Maker (that makes him scream with fear)

And the Bee on Eco-Beebies (my cousin's little boy is also scared of that apparently)

And the Haa-Hoos on The Night Garden

And yesterday he was whimpering with fear at Brum the Car (I think its anything with big goggly eyes he doesn't like)

Yet he'll watch Dr Who quite happily without a murmur of alarm at the Daleks or Monsters. Hmm . . .

(and no he doesn't spend all his time watching TV lol!)

  1. my dd likes the sun, she doesnt like the number taker in numberjacks, asks for cbeebies to be turned off, i wish he  was on more!!!

  2. awww....

actually my kids always loved the baby in the sun. Its funny to see how kids react. (not funny when they are scared of course, but interesting to see what they do and dont like)

  3. Thomas has loved the Teletubbies for years he is ten and has autism and watched the same dvd for 7 years ..he used to hate the sun baby but seems he grew on him !

He also loves Bob The Bulider ..you have that to come !

  4. Maybe you should just not let him watch any television at all at the moment.  He is obviously sensitive about certain things and children at 19 months can remember these fears for a very long time.  There are lots of other ways of entertaining a toddle without resorting to TV.

  5. My boys LOVE the baby in the sun. They all giggle when he (??) comes on.

And Brum is their favourite show.

My babies are completely scared by some thing on The Night Garden. Ryan (4months) was watching it this morning, while I had a shower, and I ran out and he was screaming in my Husbands arms. Not sure what yet. But that's ok, we don't like that show much.

None of the boys like Dr Who either.

He is at the perfect age to be start being scared. My elder boys started at that age. They even screamed when Santa came on Television. They do grow out of it. This year they cannot wait till Santa comes.

-Angie below is right. Wait till Bob starts!!

Mine are watching BB3B at the moment. I don't like the way they are looking at their little brothers!! lol!
