Is anyone else concerned about social consequences of so many people constantly glued to their cellphone?

I'm worried about the ones who drive while glued to their cell phones. I've been almost run over by more cell-phone-wielding yuppies in their d**n minivans & SUVs than by everybody else combined! People who are driving giant hunks of metal around shouldn't be distracted by a tiny little piece of plastic.

I also hate hearing people's private conversations while I'm trying to shop (or nearly getting creamed with a shopping cart by someone glued to a cell phone). Once I was at the post office, and the lady in front of me was giving a detailed description of the crud caked on the baby's car seat. I really didn't need to hear that.
