Is anyone else disgusted by both major political parties?

It's pretty crappy when I'm still undecided, and every time I think I've chosen, I get horrified by something one or the other does. Will we EVER have a TRULY solid and high-quality candidate for president or vp?

  1. there is a third party. If we are all disgusted by both the dems and repubs choices then lets pave the way for the libertarian party and finally making the election into a three party system.

  2. OMG - wait, 8 answers in a row that are actually intelligent and rational - in the politics section??????? I cannot believe it. THANK YOU to those 8 above me - I'm shocked.

  3. I've been disgusted for a couple of years now.  Looks like I'm going to be disgusted for at least another 4 years, no matter who wins.

  4. Both parties are bad, I agree, but what has tossed me to the left is how unethical the right is. They feel as though they answer to no one and the people are meaningless,(any other time, but election time). The Bush Administration has slapped the American public in the face more than once, and it seems, they think we are as unintelligent as it comes. The have ruled with a dictator mentality and this needs to end. It will with Obama, but will not with McCain!

  5. I think people should stop choosing between the two evils. Vote for a third party even if they don't have a chance in these elections. I am completely disgusted with the GOP nominees, they should not be elected. So I am voting for the Constition Party that represents true conservative principles.

  6. Absolutely, I'm in the same boat.  I'm completely disgusted, confused and just about ready to throw up my hands.  It's a full time job trying to source truth from lies from both parties.

As far as your second question: not this time around!

  7. Well THAT'S a scary way of looking at it Helen!! haha. Scary but true I suppose.

I'm still picking Obama. I agree he's inexperienced, but at least he's not some loose cannon like McCain.

  8. I'm with ya on that thought! It's really scary. I despise McCain and Palin, and I don't trust Biden, and I don't have enough faith in Obama. But, the reality is that our choices are going to be either Obama or McCain. :(

Do we vote for someone that we all know deep down inside is intentionally evil (McCain) or someone who has the potential to s***w up big time just out of inexperience? (Obama). Which can cause less destruction overall?

  9. No.  We will never have a truly solid and highly qualified candidate because we run Washington like its Hollywood.  Sad, but true.

  10. that's sad but there are plenty of other americans who are perfectly satisfied with the candidate their party chose. not everyone will be pleased. it's just something you have to get used to.

  11. You sound like a Republican who has seen the light, but is afraid to walk toward it.

  12. I agree, but we have to pick with what we got.
