  1. of corse he's saying he's tired 'cause he is (obviously) and because now with all he did in the past weeks and becoming #1 and all that his whole country and fans spects him to win gold at the olympics and he's felling a lot of presure, and if he doesn't win gold the spanish media is gonna be all over him for not winning gold for his country ('cause you know how the media is) so he's protecting him self saying he's really tired before the olympic games starts, it's normal, everybody does that just to shake the presure off

so don't worry about it he'll do fine at the olympics no matter what he says =)

  2. Lets all cut Nadal some slack. He should be tired. He is human, not superman. He has played so much tennis and has taken a toll on his body. Let's all remember he has won 2 consecutive slams this year. He has every right to claim he is tired.

  3. There's alot more to it than just playing tennis.. he's also traveling all over the world and reaching more final's than anyone else.. therefore he is playing more tennis than everyone else ... of coarse he's exhausted.

  4. I don't really blame the guy for complaining about being tired.  He plays in so many tournaments, and he works ridiculously hard day in and day out to be as physically fit as he is.  As for how it will affect his performance, I don't think we'll see any traces of him not having enough energy to get the job done, he's young and, well, that's what he trains so hard for.

  5. I HATE RAFA!

  6. if he is to tired he could have skipped few tournaments

  7. i agree with anna, i think he's just "opening the umbrella" you konw, just in case it rains

  8. i like rafa as well.. he is my favourite but..

well rafa has accomplished alot lately and he has every right to feel tired... but he has to make some changes to his calender..

him saying he is tired could be to syke the other players out, take some pressure away from himself..... this way he is more prepared and less anxious....and people lower there expectation of him, could be some sort of tactic... and then bang he bounces on the other players..

he usually tries to outlast players  and make em run around alot.. but he better start being more aggressive so his body lasts him longer.. serve and volley tennis would be good

  9. He is saying he is tired for a reason. He knew whatever he says he could look tired when he plays so he is trying to gain a psychological advantage over his opponents-It could be out of desperation or a stroke of genius!!

The way Rafa plays is he tires out his opponents by out-lasting them and moving them about etc but now he is tired that could change everything!!! Rafa may start serve-vollying or flatten out his shots and look to destroy his opponents early.

Also he is looking to lower the expectations of the supporters etc aswell as his own. He is putting as little pressure on himself by saying this. The fact it is true intensifies him saying it.

Haha he isn't just a good looking, brilliant tennis player-He has brains too!!!!

  10. I didn't know that he complained about being tired.

  11. I dont understand.  Why shouldnt he say he is tired?  Its blooming draining.  It certainly affects my daughters performance if she is tired - people dont realise how tiring competitive sport actually is.  It isnt just the time on court, its the travelling and the training to boot.

    Go easy on him!

  12. He's just trying to psyche out his opponents and make them think he is not in the best shape and then he'll blow them off the court :) haha!

A man with brains....I like it ;-) lol

Vamos Rafa, first match of the Olympics for him on Monday!!

  13. i mean the guy said he was tired after winning the french but he won stella and wimby. So i think he will be fine, he's just saying that coz he does'nt have anything else to say.
