its not weird at all hes proud of his daughter and he loves her. Also nastia and her family are russian and europeans are different with affections than americans are. Like kissing on the lips, thats different to americans than to europeans. Whats weird to you, might not be weird to them. And again about the amount hes very proud of his daughter, i mean come on shes in the olympics, its probably extra special to him because hes been in the olympics and now hes seeing his daughter reach her dreams.

I think kissing your parents on the lips is acceptable until... the age of 10, at the very latest. After that, it gets weird. Every five seconds? Very weird. So, yeah. Russian custom, maybe? I don't know. But the air-time it's getting is a little disturbing.

i think ur just jealous. just chill man.. its just a russian thing. in the past over europe and etc guys used to kiss each other as well but they become westernized

I'm from Europe and it's not a big deal. I've seen parents kissing their kids like that. I don't see anything wrong with that.
