Is anyone else from the midwest as happy as I am that we stopped the greedy southwest from draining our lakes?

I was so happy when I read that we signed the pack not to give up millions of gallons of water from our great lakes so the West can continue having lush green golf courses in the middle of the desert.

I hadn't heard about blocking the deal. That's great news!

We have a home in Michigan and one in Arizona. I find it completely incomprehensible why someone would move to the desert and then plant grass everywhere. The water resources out there are greatly overused. Yet the golf courses still get all they want, but home owners aren't allowed to water their gardens. It's nuts.
