I was over it about 5 minutes into the opening ceremony!!

The only bad thing about Channel 7's coverage ending is the fact that Bruce McAvaney is back commentating AFL. Save us!

I dont think the Olympics really interfered with the footy at all.  I enjoyed both equality over the past few weeks.

Us Aussies are never happy, Ch 7 televise footy LIVE and we whinge that its interupting the Olympic coverage.  When they dont televise games live we whinge about delayed telecasts!!

I love all sports - and it was a nice break from footy to be honest - Collingwood have been stressing me out too much!!

I, too, will be glad when the games are all over. I've enjoyed watching some of the events but have been bored to tears with the amount of time we have Channel 7 commentators on screen. Kerry Stokes must think we must all tune in to see/listen to them!

I enjoyed the olympics but found it extremely annoying when they showed the swimming ten zillion times a day and would repeat an aus or Phelps win five times a day. i really ddnt appreciate it when channel 7 wnt straight onto the olympics after the Port Adelaide vs Collingwood match coz i wanted to see my Pies sing the club song. and it wasnt even a final hacket was in anyway it was a heat!!!!!!!

I am a sucker for the games and its been so much fun in the Olympic section of yahoo stirring up the yanks but boy do they get agro.

Now its time to come back to the civilized section where we don't take things quite so seriously can have a stir and not get reported.

Well - we get some good and some bad afl comentators back, that is good and bad!

Cant wait to watch finals, but yes i did enjoy the olympics in a way

bloody annoying to see australia not win many gold medals (heck we got something like 45 less then china!)

but its good to sit down watch the finals, go the kangas & crows!
