Is anyone else in Denton struggling to find a job?

I'm 24, & I have my BA college degree in Spanish. I can't find a job ANYWHERE for ANY position. & what makes it harder is my transportation struggle. I don't have a car, I hardly ever have any money to take the bus, etc. Some jobs require that you have a VALID TX license, insurance, & a car. & sadly, those are the jobs that pay a measly $8/hr. to be personal care attendants & stuff like that.

I'm locked in a lease, I can't move anywhere else b/c of the lease issue & lack of money. I have a disability & get SSI & Social Security to survive, & I'm barely surviving. I also get food stamps. My Vocational Rehabilitation counselor doesn't want to help me at all.

  1. Wow, sounds like quite a pickle.  I lived in Denton for some time.  Although I was employed when I moved there.  It seemed that jobs were everywhere.  With dual language, I'm surprised there are not companies sending you a limo to get to work.  I'll keep my eyes and ears open for ya.  I still have friends and ugh, and ex wife there.
