Question:

Is anyone else in the UK having no deliveries of parcels because of the postal strike?

Here in our corner of SW London parcels and packages have been piling up at the sorting office for at least ten days. So I'd like to know if this is just a local problem or if it's more widespread.

Thanks for your help.

  1. parcels have been taking longer to arrive but we are still getting them or at least my area is but it maybe because most of our postmen dont believe in the strike and dont want to strike so are doing their best to get things threw they are turning up on strike days etc just to be stopped from going out so are going down and sorting post and parcels out for the next day

    i'm in leeds

  2. It is more widespread however the London sorting offices have been hit the worst.

  3. Its everywhere.  They are doing strikes at a local level, which means they strike where they want to.  So If you have just sent a parcel in london on monday and there are strikes it wont go til tuesday, but up in manchester (where your posting it to) there is a strike on tuesday etc, so no one is getting anything really.

  4. Well I am in Yorkshire and I have noticed that my ebay parcels which are from all over the country, are taking longer. I am still waiting for some of the stuff I bought well over 2 weeks ago, normally most of it is here in about a week. Some parcels have arrived very quickly though, while others seem to take ages, and I don't think it is when the sellers post them..

  5. Us too. Here in Surrey. And it's starting to really bug me.

Why do we still need to use 20th Century tactics (ie: Union strikes) to achieve anything in this country. And people ask why are we are going to the dogs....!
