Is anyone else looking forward to the new motogp season as much as I am?

I'd like Dani Pedrosa to win the championship this year, I like Casey Stoner but would like someone else to dominate this year. Valentino's past it, bring in fresh blood. Anyone agree?

  1. Yeah i cant wait, i luv it :) Im a massive Pedrosa fan so i'd luv him to win so wouldnt mind him dominating hopefully he can get a good start to the season tho since he's been having problems because of his hand and lack of testing. I think the rookies and dePuniet have looked good in testing and Melandri could be a dark horse so it will be interesting to see how the season goes. Im a total Lorenzo hater so hopefully he wont be up there lol

  2. I'm looking forward to this season more than ever. the riding talent is fantastic. the bikes are as close together as we've seen in years. winter testing is leaning towards a Stoner runaway. but racing is racing and there is always the X factor. the unpredictable inevitability. the best laid plans of mice and men.... who ever wins this year will have earned it. I don't think luck will be a major contributor to the title. testing has begun in Qatar.. racing starts next week.  May the best man win.

  3. Ditto Dingo................except for the bit about moist panties. If I get that, then it means I've probably got some kind of medical problem!

P.S Its pie in the sky I know, but I would like to see Vermeulen win the championship. (Toseland next year)

  4. this season is shaping up hopefully as the best championship weve had in years, the rookies that have entered the fray this year are a really strong group and can only add to the elite we already have, as for vale being past it please get a grip the mans a legend wat he can do on 2 wheelsa is quite simply astonishing. sorry to dissapoint you but i think dani is a good rider but he is destined to be a second placer at best, hopefully this year will not be a one horse race and we will see 3 or 4 riders fighting it out for the moto gp crown

    1: VALENTINO ROSSI

    2: casey stoner

    3: chris vermuelen

    4:dovisioso

  5. Hey carqueen

I don't know how much you're looking forward to the racing (Mild excitement? Big grin? Moist panties? LOL) so I can't say precisely if I am more excited than you or not.

I can only tell you I am at the "big grin when I catch myself thinking about it" stage, moist panties to follow when the camera's are up the pit lane following all those fit, sweaty guys in tight leather, mmmmmmmmmmm!

As for Stoner dominating the series - that's my idea of h**l! I like to see open, unpredictable racing where anybody could win, but you gotta admire the way that guy can throw that machine around - would love to hear that bike in the flesh, screaming out of the corners, wouldn't you?

I don't agree about Rossi, while I 'm glad there's new blood in the paddock I doubt many of them will have half the success he has enjoyed - and he seems to still have the desire (and skill) to win.

As for the rookies, would like Toseland to be top dog at year end (pure jingoism) but think it may be Dovisioso.

So in summary (for the umpteenth time this winter!) " I can't frikken' wait!"  ; o )

  6. I'm not sure how much I'm looking forward to the new season. Last seasons Ducati dominance meant that the 2007 was a bit of a let-down, so I'm hoping that Ducati, Yamaha and Honda are all super competitive and challenging for wins.

  7. I cant wait for this season to start. i am expecting it to be a lot closer this year than last year. Stoner will be strong as will Pedrosa but don't underestimate Rossi, he has more ability than any rider in motogp and if his bike is close enough to the Ducati and Honda then he will regain his title. my prediction for the title is:

    1 Rossi

    2 Stoner

    3 Pedrosa

    4 Hayden

    5 Capirossi

  8. I very much disagree.

You think Vale in " past it " ????

When Casey ( 1 ) or Dani ( 3 ) is hunting down their 8th World Title, then tell me he's past it.

OK, Vale has a bad couple of seasons ( in his book ) but lets face it, a second & then a third in a title race is not really " bad " .

Its just because Vale is used to winning that having a number 2 or 3 plate is madness.

95 % of the riders in MotoGP would love to finish in 2nd or 3rd. I remember Max bragging on " Faster " [ DVD ] how great it was to have a Yammy with a 2 plate on it because his hero Wayne Rainey had the same.

Rossi is by no means " past it " . Even if he came in the top ten, he still be a world great.
