It annoys me to no end that we the people suffer through water rationing and the like, while golf clubs, ballparks, stadiums, water parks and other places use millions of gallons for pure cosmetics and fun. Can't anyone see that using water for drinking, growing food and other necessities is far more beneficial? It's always the little people who get the shaft eh?

  1. Most golf courses use reclaimed water.

If your municipality has mandated water rationing, then businesses have to either apply for a waiver or they have to cut their usage as well.

Keep in mind that these ballparks, water parks, golf courses, and the like generate tax revenues, jobs, and the like.

  2. unpottable water is used at most.

  3. Well using water on a golf course is not wasting it, it goes into the ground and right back into the water table, and trees and grass prevent evaporation and soil erosion and fight global warming.  I don't know about water parks, the only two I've been to used river water... I'm sure if the situation was dire they would also have to make cuts.  Anyways it's ashame it has come to this but the cuts they do make they make across the board rich or poor.  I seriously doubt it's just you suffering.

  4. Och - Don't get me started. The only way I stand it is I know I'm not a part of that.

  5. Nah, it doesn't bother me because I'm not affected by water shortages.

  6. I Love Golf .

  7. but the thing is, most of these parks and golf courses uses recycled or reclaimed water, so very little is being wasted.. ;-)

  8. Which part of the country are you in? Which courses are taking the water supply in detriment to the average Joe? Has water for growing food being diverted  to accomodate water parks. Unless you have specific proof to your claims don't distribute bad rumors. That isn't a sign of intelligence.
