  1. I'm shocked too, if Nadal wins this tournament, he'll be the new number 1. Tennis is a mental game, I think it mentally shook Federer that he got killed during the French and lost on his favorite grass court. I didn't see it either. but good to see a tennis question!

  2. im shocked i dont know whats wrong with him

  3. personally I think they should scrap mens tennis so theres more time for us to watch those lovely russian beauties out there

  4. Not really surprised. After his closer encounter in the previous match, where his opponent choked while serving for the match, you always fear for Federer. Then I found out Karlovic was his opponent, and it was like Oh no. I'm not surprised. His game has been off. Let's hope he can get it together fast.

  5. im a nadal fan and im so pleased im going to pleasure myself with an empty bottle of sarsons vinegar

  6. Not really. It's because he's been having uncharacteristic losses these past few months. May the best man win the tournament...

  7. Fed lost confidence after losing allthe matches due to mono at the beginning of the year.

Now he still doesnt have it back; and his precious ranking is gone as well.

I dont think fed will win another tournament this year, but I expect a good comeback from him next year.

  8. really shocked...

  9. i just only came to know it , whats shocking me is that he could lose his number 1 ranking

  10. Yes, that is unpredictable for me

  11. The best way to sum up how Federer lost is that he made one bad mistake in each tiebreak on his serve to give Karlovic the mini-break, which was all Karlovic needed to win both tiebreaks. Karlovic had 22 aces but in my opinion Federer was even more dominant on serve, winning 88% of 1st service points. Karlovic was at a huge advantage when points were short, that is, when he hit an ace or Federer's return fell short. Federer was dominating when he was actually getting into a rally. It was unfortunate that Federer made those two errors to give Karlovic the mini-breaks because outside the tiebreakers, it looked like Federer was going to pull out in a close one.

  12. i thought he would win as he's no.1 but he has been having trouble recently.

  13. I was very shocked. Federer played pretty well, but Karlovic served well and stayed with Federer in the tiebreaks.

Hey, this is your boy Rafa's chance to claim the #1 ranking! Let's all root for him!!! VAMOS, RAFA! His only threat now is going to be the outcome of the Gulbis/ Djokovic match. I personally think Gulbis will win considering how poorly Djokovic has been playing.

  14. No, if I were to play against Roger, I would dig up tons of his matches to pinpoint his weaknesses or to come up with a strategy to win and that's what Ivo did.

  15. no, his game has been going down ever since he has got his mono.

  16. Federer actually played good. He came close to dropping serve a few times but was never broken in the match. His second serves were way better and more consistent than they were in the Simon match. Federer only had about a half a dozen aces, but his second serves weren't awful either and his forehand really got out him out of trouble today on a few vollies. It's the first time in Federer's life that he lost a match without ever being broken. It came down to a few lucky bounces and 2 bad backhands by Federer in the tie breaks that went Karlovic's way. Very very very unfortunate...the tennis Gods are not smiling upon Federer this year...

  17. karlovic is an absolute  nightmare to play against, everyone dreads his ferocious serve and all you can do is wait for him to have one bad service game that you can take advantage of.the good news is that hes not the best returner and if you get him in rallies he is at a disadvantage....i imagine he must be one of the most frustrating players to play against..remember rafa nadal had a very tough match against him a few months ago on grass??
