When so many ... seems like 60 percent or more claiming to have gotten herpes from rape, it makes it seem that herpes 'victims' are a bunch of s*x crazed rapists!!!

Come on people. Just be honest! Honestly, we ARE victims, but not victims of RAPE! (I'm sure it's possible for some to get it that way, but this is way too many!)

  1. You hit the nail on the head!!!  There is a member who repeatedly posts on Yahoo Answers in many sections from STDs, to Mental Health, to Psychology. She or He  repeatedly changes her names and posts inaccurate stores that she contracted HPV and Herpes from a rape or sexual assualt. I have read over 100's of her posts, and the story keeps changing. I do believe she has a mental health disorder such as Bipolar 1 or a personality disorder of some type such as Histrionic disorder. She has written hundreds of posts with false statements about Planned Parenthood.  Unfortunately, many people read these posts about her complaints against how Planned Parenthood mistreated her... they "go along" with anything they read...  It's sad that some young person who might be infected with a serious STD will not go to Planned Parenthood because of her, and possibly infect other people.

I am urging you, and anyone who reads this to report her to yahoo when you see a post where she describes Planned Parenthood as mistreating her.  I am a Registered Nurse myself, and I have scrupulously read over all of her posts... pages and pages and pages of them... noting all the inaccuracies and lies...  I do feel sorry for her though... She refuses to see her pscyhotherapist. Instead she seeks attention from Yahoo members to fill the void she feels inside.

  2. Hey well I don't completely agree with you. Not all people got herpes from being sexually assaulted. Take my best friend for example, I have known her since childhood and she was sexually harassed by her stepfather when she was 11, and no she didn't contract any STD. Although there are people who would lie and say their partner cheated on him/her and claims it wasn't his/her fault. There are people that lie about how they contract the disease but we can't judge them anymore since they need serious help and its something you have it for life.  Hmm though there are some honest people who would be HONEST enough to say they are the one who cheated and contracted the virus.

To answer your question no i'm not sick of people pretending they got herpes from rape, I don't care if they lied and said they only had 1 partner (when they had 10 or more). They learned their mistake and that is why they are asking for help.

  3. I redact my previous response with the following:

    Mayella Ewell:

I got somethin' to say. And then I ain't gonna say no more. He took advantage of me. An' if you fine, fancy gentlemen ain't gonna do nothin' about it, then you're just a bunch of lousy, yella, stinkin' cowards, the - the whole bunch of ya, and your fancy airs don't come to nothin'. Your Ma'am'in' and your Miss Mayellarin' - it don't come to nothin', Mr. Finch, not... no.

  4. In the past, it used to be taboo to speak of sexual assaults, and they were covered up repeatedly. Even now there are many who do not come forward about real assaults.

But now we have an unfortunate emergence of young girls who make it up to cover up the truth as it's easier on them to play the victim in it. They get sympathy and support from everyone and don't even have to name the supposed person if they don't want to. This behaviour also shows some interesting correlations to cluster B personality disorders which are on the rise in some societies.

Everyone, of course, must be treated as a real victim until proven otherwise. Over a vector such as this forum it makes it pretty much impossible to determine so it's very unwise to say anything, but it is true what you say. Personally i'd much rather be more sensitive and less specific in this regard, so overall the change is for the better. The unfortunate result though is we have a boy-who-cried-wolf scenario developing here, which is generally unproductive for everyone.

  5. One in 4 girls are sexually assaulted. One in 4 people have Herpes.

Running your mouth of and calling girls liars about rape is uncalled for and shallow. Who gave you the right to determine if a girl was sexually assaulted or not?

Sexual assault does not have to mean penetration. It doesn't mean its not sexual assault if its a boyfriend forcing them self on a girl.

You've just insulted any girl who has been assaulted and contracted at std from it. Get a grip and go spew off your mouth to your friends.
