I don't mean to sound like a s****t but I just feel relieved that he wont have to hear that his wife is dead.

  1. i was thinking exactly that this morning.... he would have woken up in hospital wondering what on earth had happened only to learn that his wife had died, it would have been rotten for him

  2. Duh ... No . I think he would have rather lived. Plenty more fish in the sea etc.

  3. I am very relieved.. Imagine him coming round in a complete vegetable state + knowing he'll never lead a normal life + that his wife had been killed.. It's better this way.. Now they can be in heaven together.

  4. Yes but really sad.  Really really sad about the whole story - its horrible and just so heartbreaking.

I feel really sad about the futility of what has happened.

  5. He is better off, yes.

Terribly upsetting and life changing for both their families. My heart goes out to them.

  6. I don't think he would have wanted to live once he had heard the devestating news. My heart goes out to their friends and family.

  7. I know what you mean, its awful, but I'm relieved like you said that he has died. It's such an awful situation to be in and I do feel for their families

  8. I think it was a blessing for him, as he had a bullet lodged in his brain. Who knows what would have happened to him had he survived. I now feel sorry for both of the families.

  9. I know exactly how you feel, the survivors always have a much harder time as they have to cope with the aftermath of a depressing tragedy. This time the fate or whatever power there is, was kind in a way. It didn't ask that poor man to live in sadness, thinking of what he should have done or what he shouldn't have. But it is a very sad story, no matter how one looks at it.

  10. It's very sad. As soon as they said they were bringing him home i thought they mustn't have held up much hope for him. At least now that he's home it should be a little easier for them to plan the funeral. It's a crazy world we live in.

  11. One of the most tragic and pointless crimes i've heard about in a long while....please God let them catch whoever did this.....2 beautiful people with such a positive future ahead of them....really striving to make a difference in the world....words cant describe how awful this is....i dont know if i'm relieve he's dead, but at least they are together again in heaven.

  12. I wouldn't wish anybody dead, but the way it's happened, that's the way that will cause least long-term pain for the people involved and for the families, so yes, 'relieved' maybe.

  13. Mixed feelings.  Lots of them.  The staff at Morriston must be going through h**l this morning.

  14. Not so much relieved as i didn't know the man.

But i understand where you're coming from.

If he would have been able to regain consciousness and go on and lead a normal live (physically) then, hearing about the death of his wife would have been heartbreaking for him,but at least he would have been alive with a future ahead of him.

It is the disabilities he would have been left with, that would have been the greatest burden if he had lived.

He could of,in time come to terms with the death of his wife.

But to spend the rest of his life unable to walk, talk or do anything for himself would have been worse.

  15. Its really sad but at least he is back together with his wife now

  16. you bet ye.

  17. In a way, but heavens what a terrible story. I hope that when they find the people who did this they hang the bstards. and i dont believe in hanging.
