lol your a brave man Rajan. I have a motorcycle but have to fix it right now so I am driving a truck. Man I am almost to the point where I either need to get a raise or quit my job. I don't think the raise will happen, and I won't be able to pay bills without a job. lol

  1. Since we started producing gas guzzlers I knew we would get into a huge problem with this. Nobody listened. Now its going to cripple the economy. If everyone would buy a 50-60 mpg car (who cares about status) we could get the price of oil down. How wasteful we Americans are! If you need a truck to pull your boat you need to pay a SUV tax of about $5000 extra for a gas guzzler. When will people realize that when we waste gas it affects the trade deficit, dollar, environment, electricity costs, and eventually jobs. And congress is clueless allowing car companies to build these under a category called light trucks. Shame on them. Do not bet on gas prices going down, it will only get worse. Does anyone understand the demand in China, India for gasoline? What is the matter with you idiots? Do you think the Unites States is the only country that needs gas. You have more then 2 billion people and their economies are growing.

  2. Yes! the cost of gas is ridiculous, just as the cost of living, excuse me - existing - is ridiculous. When NAFTA was signed, it started a chain reaction that is slowly killing us with higher prices and less work. How does the Government expect us to get to work and pay taxes, when we can't pay for the gas to get there, muchless the cost to ride the bus when it doesn't even get one close to our work? Any one remember the movies,"Mad Max" and "The Road Warrior"? it's coming to that or it will be that only the rich will be able to drive while the rest of us ride bikes or skateboard to work

  3. yap... gas prices is ridiculous.  I don't have a motorcycle, but once gas prices reach $4 / gal, I am getting myself a bike.

  4. I started to get worried about gas prices when the price was over $2.00/per gallon.  Now that our government seems to be putting their heads in the sand and ignoring the great problem, the economy is going to pot real fast.  Luckily my husband and I have short commutes to work.  I can't imagine having to drive 30 miles plus one-way (like I used to) and pay $64.00 or more to fill my tank every other day.  Rediculous.

  5. Like the person above I hated it when it went over $2. Yet I LOVE driving. I have a 6cyl car so gas is consumed, but I went for years w/out a vehicle before this one, and I am reluctant to give it up. There is public transport in my area, but I often remember walking more than a mile while waiting for the bus to show and beating it to my home-stop.

I think scooters, like Vespas, are the way to go, but I can't afford one yet--lol!

Has anyone noticed that whenever certain seasons approach the gas prices really jump?  For instance, over the past holidays, gas was going up to 3.50--3.90 very close to $4? Just while everyone's gearing up to drive all over the place to visit family & friends for the holidays?  Wait until the summer, you'll see it rise again as we Americans like to do those "driving vacations".

  6. yes but i really think gas is going to go down once bush is out of the white house and Bracak Obama is in and he withdraws the troops from the pointless war in iraq (we have succeeded our mission to get rid of saddam so lets get out why are we helping them if they dont do it by them selfs they will never learn)

  7. Accept that there is a limited supply of oil in the world and that prices are a necessary means of regulating usage. The more you pay the less you will use.

Gas-guzzlers are not the best way to minimise consumption.
